Helping Those In Need
- A young man from Haiti who saw his Father murdered by a rival political gang. He then showed us the bullet scars where he had been shot in the arm and his legs. He was requesting asylum in the US.
- Two young women who were married to Americans and living in New Orleans when Hurricane Katrina hit. They could not find their attorney and he had all their documents.
- A young high school senior being recuited by the Air Force. She was an honors student and an athlete. The Air Force wanted to give her a full ROTC college scholarship. They told her if she could get a document, any kind of official recognition they could take her into the Air Force and she could then request her Permanent Residency and eventually citizenship. But her parents had brought her across the border from Mexico when she was 3 years old, so she does not qualify. This is the country she knows and loves, she wants to serve in the military, but she does not qualify.
